The Image of the Year 2016/17 competition took place on Wednesday 5th April when the judge for the evening was Burton on Trent based photographer Ralph Duckett.
Ralph has gained the highest standard of Masters in the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) accreditation and he is an EFIAP and his expert judging made it a most enjoyable evening.
All All images that attained scores of 18,19 or 20 in all of the competitions throughout the year were automatically submitted into this competition which means we had a bumper crop of 30 prints and 41 DPI images. In order to make the slideshow manageable on the night 10 DPIs were ruled out prior to the evening. For a full list of print results click here and for the DPI results click here.
Congratulations to Jackie on winning the print section with a fabulous image entitled ‘Three’s Company’ taken at Carsington Water in the mist last Christmas. Also very well done to Peter for his winning DPI – ‘Cat and Mouse’ taken at the velodrome.
