A note from Ashbourne Camera Club External Competitions Co-ordinator – Peter Edge…
The time has arrived again for me to ask for your entries for the NEMPF Exhibition.
For the benefit of new members, this is an annual photographic exhibition organised by the North and East Midlands Photographic Federation (with whom our club is affiliated), and all paid-up members are invited to submit images (digital files and/or prints) to be individually marked as part of the selection process to decide which images are included in the Exhibition.

The total entry is in the thousands, so it is a considerable honour to have your image accepted for the Exhibition. Ashbourne has recently gained a few acceptances each year, and last year Lisa Travers was the winner of a Selector’s Award for one of her print entries. See 2016 selections here.
In order to collate the entries and get them to the collectors, I shall need to have all of your entries by Wednesday 5th October 2016.
We had our best entry ever from Ashbourne last year, so let’s beat it!
Rules and entry forms are available here but please note that all entries must be made through the Club (via me – Peter Edge, our club external competition co-ordinator), and NOT directly to NEMPF.
To paraphrase the rules, individual members are allowed to enter up to 4 in each of the following categories:
- Monochrome PDIs (projected digital images)
- Colour PDIs
- Monochrome prints
- Colour prints
- Nature PDIs Read the definition of NATURE carefully here.
- Nature prints
- PLUS a panel of 4 prints
File and print sizes are specified in the rules, but are the same as required for our own Club competitions. The entry fee is £1 per image, or a total of £20 if you enter all sections.
